Kingston's Town - all Candidates Meeting was a black
eye for all of us who live on McBurney Park, including
King's Town District and for the democratic process.

First; it was a ineffectively moderated meeting.
Basically,it was a coordinated campaign to show favour
to one candidate.

This is how the organizing members “set it up”…

Directing one of the candidates to go first in
answering at least 4 successive questions ultimately
giving the other candidate a significant edge in their
reply.

Condoning a number of audience members to be openly
rude and to freely shout out disruptive comments.

Allowing audience members to make biased speeches
favoring one candidate without asking a question of
either candidate.

Allowing people to ask the same question multiple
times of one candidate without blocking the question
and not advising the audience to refrain.

This group that organized this "debate" is typical of
how they have organised various "community initiatives".

Based on altruistic drive that has (in this case)
unkindly humiliated Mr. Potter while thwarting
our neighborhood principles.

In the end the meeting accomplished little.
If anything Mr. Potter impressed me with how he
exhibited class and maintained professionalism while
under attack from a handful of so called "democratic
neighborhood” bully’s.
